Amazon is introducing a significant update to its coupon fee structure effective November 5, 2025, aimed at providing sellers with greater cost transparency and predictability, especially ahead of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping season.
Hereโs whatโs changing:
Variable coupon fees will now be capped at โฌ100 per coupon for any coupons created on or after November 5, 2025.
The โฌ2 upfront fee per coupon remains unchanged.
The variable rate is being reduced from 1.0% to 0.50%.
This adjustment comes as part of Amazonโs ongoing efforts to simplify and optimize its promotional tools. Earlier in March 2025, Amazon introduced new promotion structures designed to help sellers experiment with various discounting strategies. However, many sellers shared that the variable fees made campaign costs difficult to anticipate.
With this new cap and lower rate, sellers can now plan their marketing budgets more confidently and optimize their holiday campaigns with better clarity on expenses.
Important note:
Coupons created before November 5, 2025, wonโt be eligible for the new capped fee. To take advantage of the updated structure, sellers are encouraged to deactivate existing coupons and create new ones after the effective date.
