Amazon has recently expanded its New Selection program, opening up more opportunities for sellers to reduce referral fees when launching eligible new-to-Prime products. This update now includes five more EU stores: the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, and Ireland.
๐น How the Program Works
If you list a Prime-eligible parent ASIN that hasnโt been offered as Prime by any seller in the past 12 months, Amazon will apply a reduced 5% referral fee. This discounted rate is valid for 120 days from the date your product becomes buyable as Prime.
๐น Unit Eligibility
The referral fee reduction applies to a limited number of units per parent ASIN in each marketplace:
-
Up to 100 units for eligible standard-size products
-
Up to 50 units for oversize products (excluding special oversize categories)
These benefits apply independently in each store, offering greater flexibility when expanding across multiple EU regions.
๐น Enrollment Requirements
-
New Amazon Sellers: Enrollment is automatic once all eligibility criteria are met.
-
Existing Sellers: Manual opt-in is required to activate the program benefits.
You can easily check your eligibility, enrolled ASINs, and active benefits through the Amazon New Selection dashboard.
Expanding into new EU marketplaces is now even more cost-effective thanks to this incentive. If you’re planning to grow your footprint in Europe, this referral fee discount offers a great opportunity to increase profitability while testing new markets.
